Great ride quality, missing a few things to make an excellent car. Hard to describe Phone-as-key option if you never lived with it. I always head out without the key fob but never go anywhere without my phone. Also, Missing power adjustable Steering column. Cadillac has driver profiles but does not include steering column position? Speaking of driver profiles in the Cadillac Optic, they don’t work. You can only have one trusted device, therefore the software will only Auto Unlock one driver profile when you enter the car. Having more than one profile does not work. Multiple driver profiles feature does not work in Cadillac vehicle.

I’ve had the Lyriq since 2023 (best car ever!) updated, uninstalled, etc etc. This app has never worked ever in 2.5 years and only gets worse with updates. It’s unbelievably terrible. The best it’s ever done is force closing it, and reopening, every single time you use it, and usually that only works with cell phone data. Now after the last “update” it doesn’t work no matter what you do. The least functioning app I’ve ever used for anything, ever. I’ll bet this doesn’t happen at BMW or Mercedes. How can you compete for world class when you can’t even get your app to work? Something tens of thousands of no name companies pull off flawlessly all the time? So disappointing.

It takes about a minute for unlock requests to go through. Is it possible to speed that up? Also, it would be nice to use the phone as a key so carrying physical fobs would not be needed. Is that possible?

Lyriq is the best car going. I have driven for 45 years. It was getting old. This car makes it fun every time.

Talked to tech support multiple times to find out why the map is not there. The usual canned troubleshooting with no change. It doesn’t allow me to send an address to my Escalade and none of the remote features are not there anymore. Even though I am still pay almost $50 a month. I highly doubt they will reach out to me for a solution Update 5/10/2025 Finally got a customer service rep who knew what they were doing. Everything works fine now.

Very very -very slow. It’s kind of useless

Can’t tell you how many times this amazing app from Cadillac saved me. From my kids locking my keys in the car to tracking my car when it’s out for service or my kids are using it. LOVE IT!

After owning a Tesla for many years I cannot understand why the Cadillac App is so slow to connect and communicate with the car. Really frustrating.

Bring back the watch function!!

The worst respond time ever of any apps. Most of the time it didn’t work. Sad

Takes forever to unlock with app

Love the car - not a fan of the app. The app has severe lags in communication with the car. My fourth brand with an app and least useful of the apps yet the car cost significantly more than the others. Cannot reliably use the app to control charge start / stop. Cannot set charge schedule with the app. App and car do not synch on desired charge levels. For example I set the car to charge to 80% via the car’s software. I just pulled open the app and it told me it was charging to 90%. Car’s Navigation favorites and App Navigation favorites do not synch. Had to program my work location multiple times. Why can’t we use the app as the key?

The app rarely works to start my car, not sure what i’m even paying for.

This app does not live up to the Cadillac reputation. It’s not very user-friendly and really doesn’t offer you anything other than the unlocking and starting of the vehicle.

In the month that I have been using this app it has updated a total of 1 times. Very disappointing. And I've found no way to access support.

I love the capabilities of this app. Most especially the remote lock feature!

I’m paying full price for something that is not giving me full service. The only thing that works properly is the auto start and WiFi. The mileage, amount of gas, and tire pressure are never correct. I have called customer service, and they were unable to fix it. They had tier two (tech department) call, and they were unable to correct the problem as well. I wish you all would fix the problem and also give everyone who is having problems a refund.

Genuinely don’t understand all of these 5 star reviews about how much they love their car. It has absolutely nothing to do with this app that was developed poorly. I get notifications that my car did not start and then get to my car while it’s running. I click on most links and have a new window open up. I have my last two vehicles in the app with absolutely no way to remove it, yet every single support rep gives the same instructions that I’ve already declared don’t work. I had a chat earlier with support explaining the horrendous lack of consistency on my vehicle diagnostics, they instructed me to re-do troubleshooting steps I’ve already done. After uninstalling and reinstalling the app, their chat was gone forever and I would’ve been stuck with the anti-AI bot. Currently, I have two warnings in the app that are grayed out because it needs to refresh. The refresh won’t work and says to try again later, and one of the errors (the one time this did work) was about ABS that shows zero problems after the refresh. But every single time I open the app it says ABS service. It cannot connect to my vehicle in most capacities, and I find the app overall to be pretty unhelpful.

MyCadillac app works great. Need to restore Apple Watch feature option.

I installed this app on my phone and it works fine. Why is it not available for the Apple Watch?

If I could give the app 0 stars I would. Premium car brand, I expect a better app experience. I’ve not called into support to fix the broken app twice in 3 months of ownership. Never shows the right model car, connects to the car 50% of the time. And then you expect me to pay for this service after x number of years. What a joke

I loose connection to my Liriq when I’m away for extended periods. I own multiple GM cars and the fees are so high just to keep a remote connection to my cars I feel like I’m getting taken advantage of. They want high fees just for this and multiple high fees for multiple GM cars. Thanks for showing how you care about a loyal GM owner.

Nothing works in the app for lyriq. The charge management is horrible to use, takes forever to update.

Takes forever to update charging percentage, if it does. It often stops and will not update until the vehicle is started and driven again. Should be more options like viewing the cameras. Gm/cadillac is way behind others in this tech. Just glitchy for an app that is really needed.

Outstanding response and first class performance.

Don’t waste your time with Cadillac EVs. This app is useless just like their customer service. I’ve complained numerous times to no avail. They respond with a message asking you to email them for personalized attention, but it’s a disgusting ruse. They recommend asinine ideas like uninstalling and reinstalling their pathetic app. I am abandoning Cadillac and going to Tesla. If you are reading this I recommend not wasting your time and finding another more serious EV manufacturer who cares about customers

When it works it’s good, too often it won’t work because it needs to update. Always seems to be when I need it NOW

This app used to have Apple Watch support but now it doesn’t, now I have to either use my key fob or my iPhone making starting just cumbersome and difficult instead of a couple of easy clicks on my Apple Watch Response to developer: This isn’t an improvement on performance, nor is it more stable and it doesn’t get updated if it’s removed. The Apple Watch feature was the main reason to pay for onstar so I’ll just cancel it, terrible decision on removing the Apple Watch feature. This is a downgrade, pulling out my phone to start my car feels like something you would do in 2010 before they made the Apple Watch. You would figure for a luxury car they could focus on the phone app and the watch app at the same time but I guess they decided profits were more important then features Additional Response: The developers keep sending the same form message, but the app is still worthless and onstar is pointless if there isn’t Apple Watch support. Why bother if I have to get my phone out of my pocket, unlock my phone, open the app and then hold down a button making me hate this luxury car every time now, think I’m going to just get rid of the car as I’m no longer happy owning a Cadillac since now it’s too difficult to start while walking out to the car now Additional response: I don’t use the app anymore, it’s just pointless without Apple Watch support, just canceling my onstar subscriptions as it’s useless. Way to streamline it so much that the app is no longer useful. Might as well just remove the entire app it completely as there is no point to this app without Apple Watch support

I have a 2024 Cadillac LYRIQ. It’s really annoying that the car has the capability to have a phone key but doesn’t yet. How do you not have solid developers working for you to get this up and going? Tesla has had it for almost a decade. BMW does it and does it well. What are we missing here???

This app is very slow and response is slow as well . Why can I change the temperature in the car while turning on the climate . Please improve this app. Love the car but app is horrible .

I’ve been using the app for many years however earlier this year we have been having many issues. The vehicle oil, gas, tire and mileage is not correct. At one point it showed the vehicle was moving. Thinking it was stolen we called On Star to disable the vehicle only to discover the vehicle was parked exactly where we left it. Despite numerous reports regarding the app issues no one seems to be able to help.

What the app does is fine - but the response is so slow.

I’ve made several calls to Onstar and for some reason they can’t get my app to work. We tried the Cadillac app and the Buick app which looks the same. Neither of them will work like before my trial period is up. I don’t understand and frustrated.

This application doesn’t work, you have to keep updating and updating and literally updating and sometimes it doesn’t even connect with the vehicle.

The app provides what it says and directly access to know what is going on with your car and starts it up from wherever you are. Awesome!

Since sending this, I get a notification at least once a day stating: You’ve received a developer response to your review of myCadillac Please make it stop! ——————————- All of the GM apps have been terrible. I had a 2020 Bolt and the app was mostly useless. Fast forward to 2023 and the same app with a different color was the Cadillac app. It was still terrible. They have made many revisions in the last 2 years. They took away the Apple Watch companion, which is a major loss. They took away the Updates History. The app has finally begun to work a bit better as of March 2025. I would never pay to use it, as it really isn’t that reliable to warrant a fee. Maybe they can hire on some Tesla engineers to make it more useful and functional.

I am sad the compatibility with Apple Watch was removed. I liked not having to dig through my purse and unlock my phone to start my car. I’ve had limited issues with the actual app itself.

The app is easy to use and such a convenience. For some reason it no longer appears on my Apple Watch, though, and I would love to figure that out.

Love the app and its functionality. It used to also work on my Apple Watch but no longer does. Again, I do love the app, but consider bringing back the watch function.

Remote start takes way too long to start when it does start. It only works about 10% of the time. I also have to log back into the app with security questions almost every time I open it not worth the money!

The features & functionalities of the App are great but they are really slow in response when commands are sent via the App to the vehicle.

I want to be able to schedule my remote starts. My ford let’s me set ahead of time my remote starts so I wake up and my car is already warm. Please add this feature so I can schedule my remote starts at the same days and times each week.

I hope an update comes soon. 3/5 bc the app does most of the basics: service interval status, lock/unlock, lights/alarm, etc. On the other hand, it’s rather slow: idk why you have to hold the button so long & it doesn’t seem to register many times: “keep holding button” shows up; as a test, I kept holding for 30 secs & the message remained. Sure, let off the button & try again usually (but not always) works… but if it can tell the button is being pressed, then why doesn’t it work the first time? Once it does register, it takes 10-30s for the door to unlock. My 3 previous cars took the action right away (1-3s). Also weird statuses occur: “fuel 40%, 0 mi until empty”; this is the reading as I type this.

The start button is now missing from thee app. There is a climate button in its Plaice, which works so far once. Just another reason I am 1 and done

I think the app is ok. It definitely could use some updates for accuracy of charging battery percentage, using your phone as a key, route planning as sometimes the chargers are not where it says they are, and charging estimated times need to be updated.
